CLASS 3 - ASSIGNMENT

[Tasks to perform]

1. Research what the religious practices were during the Queen Elizabeth I and King James I eras of British government. Perform your research using GOOGLE and encyclopedias.   

2. Based on your study give your opinion about the importance the practice of worshipping God was to British government heads of state in terms of them using it as an instrument to help maintain law and order within the society they ruled over. 

3. Whether or not you are able to form that opinion: Assume Thomas Jefferson would have studied the same (above mentioned) Queen Elizabeth I and King James I history and come to the conclusion that the document he was assigned by congress to create - which would form the United States of America government - must establish a set of religious guidelines that help administrators of the government's authority and power maintain social law and order throughout the nation.        

4. In making that assumption explain in your own words what religious resource was logical for Jefferson to rely on to establish social conduct guidelines for government officials and common citizens of the United States of America to abide by.     

5. Determine what the (word) definition of religious guidelines is set by government officials.
